Ella: my life on the edge!

During my time at edge so far, I’ve learnt how much I enjoy working with other members of the team. I’ve also learnt that I definitely work best when collaborating with others! Life at edge is exciting – it’s great to be surrounded by people who are so passionate about their work and getting to learn from them.

I love that with my role I get to work on different things, and with different people every day. Over the last few months, I have had the chance to be involved in so many projects, gaining different skills and experiences from each one. My favourite tasks so far have been working on proving layouts because I enjoy thinking creatively and systematically to find the best solution.

I chose the edge graduate scheme because I liked the mentoring aspect of it. It was clear that I would be in a supportive environment in which I could grow and develop myself and my skills. Attending the open day gave me a really good insight into what life is actually like at edge. I came away from it with a really good idea of what my day-to-day would be like – and my first impression was that edge is a very close team who work really well together. It was clear that everyone was super supportive of each other, and it would be a collaborative place to work.

I know it’s said a lot but for anyone thinking of applying this year, the advice I would give is honestly – just be yourself! And try and show what you are passionate about through your application!
